Well last night was a bit of an epic fail. We arrived in Puerto de Mogan late at 9:30 maybe later. But the berth they had set aside for us was too near the harbour entrance. So the swell was proving a nightmare to moore up. A boat slightly further in didnt want us next to it because of the extra weight... blah blah blah (load of rubbish, but as they were only the crew and not the owners it was fail on their behalf). So the verdict? Keep going down the coast and we'd got within 3 metres of the showers :( So by the time we'd finished faffing it was 11. We motored all the way to Puerto de Arguineguin. By which point most of us were falling asleep all over the boat.
So we are now at anchor off the shore. Had a relatively leisurely start. But last night on the boat was absolutely roasting! and because I finally got a leeboard yesterday I woke up in the middle of the night thinking I was in a box... so of course panicked *rolls eyes* This morning had some brekkie then threw on a bikini and went swimming took some photos of the boat & crew form the water & Adam and Sara took photos of eachother under the keel. They turend out really cool! Now we're all getting ready to go.
We've prepared the HUGE jib top called the Yankee and taken off the sail cover. Plan is to have a sail down to Puerto de Mogan. We ran them up earlier and Rona II had stolen our spot. But I'm sure we'll find a place. I can't wait to have a shower. Better go help I'll write again later.
Ciao for now!
